Costs

The IEP follows a quarterly schedule with three 11-week quarters during the regular academic year (Fall, Winter, and Spring) and a 9-week summer session. Personal expenses and textbook costs are not included. Housing and food costs are approximate and are subject to change.

*WWU fees include Health Center, Technology, General Services, Recreation Center, Building, and a Transportation fee of $25, for which students will receive a quarterly bus pass. These fees are mandatory for all WWU students. Textbook costs are not included. As some fees are subject to change, please contact the IEP office to confirm current costs.

WWU Payment and Fee Information

Students may pay their IEP tuition and Western fees using a credit card, personal check, traveler’s check, or cash. However, credit cards are not accepted for Housing or Dining fees. The easiest way to pay Housing and Dining fees is to use a personal check or debit card from an American bank. Cash or traveler's checks are also accepted.

We generally recommend that students open checking accounts from an American bank after they arrive at Western. Western IEP staff will assist students with opening checking accounts.
