Housing
On-campus Housing
Bellingham offers a wide range of housing. New students coming into the IEP usually prefer to stay in one of the on-campus apartments. University apartments and dormitories are coeducational and range in occupancy from 90-500 students. Some are located along a forested hillside, while others enjoy landscaped courtyards or spectacular views of Bellingham Bay. Each residence hall includes recreational lounges, study areas, laundry rooms, and recycling facilities.
The cost for a double room in an on-campus apartment range is $887 per quarter (3 months) for the 2009-2010 school year. There are also off-campus apartments offered through the university, available at $977 to $1150 for a double room.
Off-campus Housing
In addition to university housing, there are many private apartments near the campus . IEP staff will be available to help students arrange off-campus apartments. Off-campus housing (shared double room) is available in the price range of $400-500/month. All apartments are on bus lines, and busses arrive on campus about every 15 minutes. A quarterly bus pass is included in student fees.
Meal Plans (optional)
Meal plans are available for students living in both on-campus and off-campus apartments. There are a range of options, from 75 meals/quarter to unlimited meals/quarter. Most students choose 75 meals/quarter at approximately $850/Academic quarter or $725/Summer quarter.
