Programs
The IEP helps students learn English, whether they wish to learn for business or social purposes or to prepare for regular enrollment and degree program study at Western and other American colleges and universities.
The Intensive English Program helps students prepare for academic study at American universities or community colleges.
Through Conditional Admission, international students may be accepted for University Undergraduate Admission while still working to satisfy WWU’s language proficiency requirement for full admission.
Students who are admitted to AEP enroll in regular university courses plus Academic English courses offered through the Intensive English Program (IEP) at Western. Students in AEP are formally admitted to the university as undergraduates and earn credit toward graduation.
The IEP at Western Washington University coordinates with the Graduate School in helping international students prepare academically for graduate programs.
